Reds: Ranking the 3 most likely trade targets as Tuesday's deadline looms

Brandon Drury is out of the Cincinnati Reds lineup for Sunday's finale versus the Baltimore Orioles. Is it just an off day for the infielder or is there a trade in the works. It would be extremely surprising to see Drury on the Reds roster after Tuesday's deadline.

Drury has had a fantastic season and could bring a power-hitting right-handed bat to any number of contenders. Drury, who was a utility player with the New York Mets last season has been an indispensable piece of the Reds roster this season.

Drury signed a minor league pact with the Redlegs during the spring and will be a free agent after the season. While there are many Reds fans who would love to see Cincinnati attempt to negotiate a contract extension with the 29-year-old, that seems quite unlikely.

Brandon Drury can be an impact bat for some team unwilling to pony up the type of return the Chicago Cubs are looking for in exchange for Ian Happ or Willson Contreras. Drury would also be cheaper option than Boston Red Sox designated hitter J.D. Martinez. Fans should expect Drury to be out the door by the close of business on Tuesday, if not before.
